Addy’s Big Girl Bed

I know it wasn’t that long ago when we did a little room update to Adaline’s room. Dave had been chatting with Addy about upgrading her to a big girl bed for a while now. With all the extra time at home, we figured we would put it to good use! Here’s a little peek at Addy’s big girl bed!

David found this bed frame, and Adaline instantly loved the drawers on the side. We didn’t realize the other side of the bed would be left “open” – the result is a little “secret hideout” that she and London discovered within 2 minutes of the bed being assembled!

I am keeping her gallery wall, and actually adding to it. The majority of her art is linked in the older blog post, but I will link them again at the end of this post! We were also able to use the rest of her nursery furniture, but did order this nightstand that matches the rest of the furniture. The faux fur rug is actually MACHINE WASHABLE. I don’t know how many times I’ve tossed our Kroma Carpets faux fur rugs into the washing machine with a 4 letter word and a glimmer of hope — and it washes up just like new! We swapped Addy’s blue faux fur rug for London’s (which is pink), since her room was VERY pink, and actually love how the blue looks in Lo’s room!

We are HUGE fans of Beddy’s Beds. If you’re not familiar, Beddy’s are like a sleeping bag and a fitted sheet hybrid. Simply unzip, hop in, zip yourself up, and fall asleep. This room is so bright, cheerful, and fun — just like our Adaline! I really wanted to create a space that reflected her energy, love of colors, and joy of life!
