London’s first day was off to a rocky start. There were quite a few tears on her end, once she realized David and I weren’t staying with her. It’s the first time she’s ever been somewhere without us, so I knew it was definitely needed. It was hard to leave – but there’s probably nothing more emotionally scarring than being upset and also seeing your mom sobbing on your first day of school, so I kept it together. It was hard, though. I am happy to report she powered through it, and was all smiles when I picked her up in the afternoon.
Day 2 was a day and night difference. She walked in with a smile, said hi to her teachers, and went right over to her cubbie to hang up her “pack pack” and jacket like a big girl!!
I saw a few other blogger mama’s posting a cute little Q&A with their kids as they head off to school, so I wanted to jump on that bandwagon! 😉
