My girls have been on a serious Honey Bunches of Oats kick lately. Their favorite is the Honey Bunches of Oats Strawberry, and I’ve been heading to Walmart weekly, to stock up!
Since we’ve had to keep a huge stock of the cereal in the house, I’ve been incorporating it into snacks, instead of just a bowl of cereal. Today, I’m going to share one of the girls’ favorite treats: No-Bake Clusters, featuring Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Roasted.
What you need:
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cup Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Roasted cereal
- 1 cup of pretzel sticks, broken up
- 1/2 cup of peanuts
What you do:
- In a medium saucepan, bring sugar, cocoa, butter, and milk to a boil. Boil hard for one minute.
- Remove from heat, and add peanut butter and vanilla extract. Stir until peanut butter is blended.
- Stir in Honey Bunches of Oats, pretzels, and peanuts. Stir until everything is coated.
- Drop by the spoonful onto wax paper.
- Let the clusters sit about an hour, or until completely set. (Unless you’re like David, who tends to sneak a few in before they’re hardened!)
Since these are so quick to make, and we generally always have the ingredients on hand, this is the perfect treat to take on the go, or to fill up on before heading to the movies with the kids! (because who wants to spend $40 for movie snacks?!). You can also check out more fun #CerealAnytime recipes here.
Select Post cereal products have new packaging that incorporates the new SING movie. You can enter the SING National Sweepstakes for a chance to win $100,000 or free movie tickets, by entering codes that are found inside the specially-marked boxes of cereal into the sweepstakes website!
Are you planning on taking your kiddos to see the Sing movie? It might be on our Thanksgiving weekend to-do list (you know, after we put up the Christmas tree!!)
