It’s Springtime in Michigan, which means: rain, rain, everyday. It’s still not warm enough for rain boots and bathing suit dance parties outside, which means we are forced inside. One of our favorite ways to spend a rainy day (aside from snuggled up on the couch with a cute Disney movie), is reading. The girls love to read, and London is finally sitting through a whole book without losing interest, or slamming the book shut on me every 5 seconds. Here are a few of the books currently on repeat around here:
Julia, Child | Uni the Unicorn | Madeline | The Secret Garden | Gaston | Tallulah | An Awesome Book | Flora and the Flamingo | Wild | Iggy Peck Architect | This is Sadie
Admittedly, these are some of my favorites to read to the girls. I get sick of the same book over and over again, so when I can, I throw these into the mix.
If the girls had their way, we would read the interactive books everyday. Some of their favorites are Mix It Up, Do Not Open This Book, and The Book With No Pictures. These books require the readers to actively participate, instead of just listening. I don’t recommend these for bedtime stories 😉 Especially Do Not Open This Book, since Peyton usually ends up standing up and jumping around, laughing as we read it!
