We had one of the best weekends we’ve had in a while, despite Peyton running a low-grade fever Saturday. After the crazy snow we had last week, in true Michigan fashion, the weekend was in the mid-50s!
Dave spent Saturday in the garage, playing mechanic with his friends, while my friend and I manned the children inside. Two adults vs four (and at one point five) kids gives the kids a severe advantage! Fortunately, we only had to play referee a little in the beginning, and were able to tame them with pizza, color wonder markers, and The Good Dinosaur (which is really cute, if you haven’t seen it yet!).
If there’s only one altercation ending in tears, no one colors on the walls, and everybody eats dinner – that’s a win in my books!
A rare moment, when all four kiddos were entertained!
Sunday was spent outside! We busted out the girls’ power wheels car and the double stroller, and took a long walk through the neighborhood. We met our new neighbors. I was able to get the Easter decorations up, with Peyton’s help. And we ended the day with an early dinner and early bedtime – the fresh air pooped everyone out (except for Adaline, who slept through the whole walk, and partied all night).
I’ve had a few questions about our stroller! We have the Baby Jogger City Select, and we purchased the second seat (links are at the bottom of this post!). I love it, since most double strollers are really wide and obnoxious, or long and hard to turn (like those damn carts at Target with the kid seats!), and this one fits the second seat on the same chassis (fact: I had to do trial and error google searches to spell that!). David ordered an adaptor for our car seat to connect to the frame of the stroller (check amazon for one that works with your car seat), but it hasn’t arrived. So we tilted the second seat, so it was horizontal, we buckled Addy in, which was hilarious and almost impossible because she was in a bunting outfit. But it worked!
^ Peyton’s personality is 100% summed up in this photo
Oh, and Adaline is one month old!! Which seems crazy, since I swear she was born yesterday…right?? I could stare at this goofy smile ALL DAY.

How long does that battery last on the car? And this might be dumb, but does it take real batteries or do you plug it in to charge it?? My kids would love one of those but I want to know if it’s worth it

It plugs in to the wall! And honestly, she doesn’t use it for much more than cruising up and down the driveway, but the change lasted nearly the whole summer here! She loves it!

This house is so cool, it’s just over the top. I absolutely love the flow of the beams and the way it looks lit up. Over the top!!
