Time to get prepared! Meaning, arranging for a sitter for the girls (which might be the most stressful part of labor), and packing the hospital bag.
First off, I have had this diaper bag since Peyton was born, It’s so big, yet not obtrusive to carry!
For myself, I have a little toiletry bag. Inside are some necessities. Call me vain, but I packed some makeup. I mean, people take SO many photos when they come to the hospital, and I definitely don’t want to look like I was up all night, giving birth. Dry shampoo is a MUST. I also have my foundation, moisturizer, lip balm, and mascara. Obviously, I have a toothbrush/paste and deodorant – I don’t want to be the stinky mama on the delivery floor 😉
I have a pair of yoga pants packed for myself, along with a super comfy shirt. Most importantly, I packed my own socks. Seriously, the thin, gross ones from the hospital are THE WORST. I have slippers and some supportive bras packed too.
For baby girl, I have a cute little one piece that we will be taking her home in, a hat, scratch mittens, and a little swaddle. I also packed a fuzzy, hooded coat since it’ll be cold when we leave. Of course, we also have the car seat ready to go!!
I also have an iPhone charger, and our HD video camera all charged and ready to go.
For Dave, he has a small bag with a change of clothes, his laptop and iPad (if he has to work), and chargers for all his tech gear.
I cannot believe we are THIS close to baby girl’s birthday!! TGIF, guys!!
