2014 was such a great year! I ended up getting pregnant on our New Year’s Eve trip to California for the Rose Bowl. After that, it seems like the year FLEW.
MSU won the Rose Bowl, which made the entire trip that much better. We also got to see one of my best friends who moved to LA after college. Not to mention shop/wander around Rodeo Drive. Oh, and in case any of you hadn’t picked up on this: London’s middle name is Rose 😉
After we found out I was pregnant, we planned a family trip to Naples, FL. So much fun to have a little “baby moon” even though Peyton was with us! I shot and edited a fun family music video, which we do EVERY vacation.
Sadly, we lost my mother-in-law in the early Spring. She was such a sweet and loving mother and grandmother, and it absolutely kills me that she will never know London. She did, however, get to see my first ultrasound at 13 weeks. Counting our blessings that she knew about baby #2 and can watch over her from heaven. Another beautiful blessing is how much Peyton looks like her; it’s more and more evident the older Peyton gets
We finished the crazy building process, and moved into our new home! One of the greatest highlights for us!!Peyton turned 3, and we had a super fun birthday party, her last hoo-rah as an only child:
We took our annual family trip to my family’s cottage up north. My parent’s took Jarred and I as kids, and I am so happy the cottage is still in the family, so my girls can have the same memories. Aaaaaaand we made another killer video:
Peyton started school, and she LOVES it. We could see changes in her attitude, problem solving ability, and overall friendliness to other kids. I am so glad we started with this early 3 year old program, instead of waiting for “real” pre-school! Not to mention she had her first ever Christmas program, and it was a hot mess, but I loved it. P got into me taking pictures of her every morning before school, and I didn’t hate it either 😉
I had the baby!! We welcomed London Rose into the world September 29th at 6:28AM.
We kicked butt in the neighborhood Halloween contest, and took home the first place prize: We hosted Thanksgiving at our house, breaking in the kitchen officially! Then we geared up for the holiday season!! My favorite time of the year
And we welcomed yet another new member to the family! Charles, the barbet: And last night, we rang in 2015 in style, with our closest friends!
