It’s no secret I LOVE to throw parties. My husband will be the first to tell you (or me, over and over again) how I go SO overboard planning and decorating.
Saturday night, we decided to invite some people over for a water balloon fight. Of course, that manifested into a LAST DAYS OF SUMMER BLOWOUT party in my head. So I woke up early on Sunday and began planning!
The best part of the party, was I have so much party stuff hoarded from parties of the past, that I didn’t need to buy plates/napkins/plastic silverware! Bonus! I rolled the silverware in sets, tied with cute left-over twine (from bridal showers) for a more put-together look. (Like I hadn’t decided to have this party 10 hours prior to having it!)
I love any excuse to use my Oh Joy! For Target goodies, and how cute are those cupcakes? The set is from J Crew! (My Oh Joy! is hoarded from the summer, but her new collection is just as adorable and I am also hoarding all of that – for the anyway impromptu party!)
Of course, the balloons! This is one bin of 3 that we had for the battle! We used this balloon pump and it actually worked really well!A close-up of the cupcakes. Which resulted in lots of blue-mouthed kids – my favorite 🙂
We ended the day with pizza and a boat ride with friends down the river. Such a perfect way to send off summer!
I cannot believe Peyton starts school today! Where has the time gone!? Stay tuned for THAT update (and probably a few tears)
