Yay! My Best friend is getting married, and as maid of honor, I got to throw her a shower! Parties are my thing, and Pinterest only fuels my fire. I thought it would be fun to share some snaps from the shower with you!
The painted canvas was purchased at Hobby Lobby for $7, and I rolled the coral paint on, and wrote on it with a blue paint pen. Super cheap and so cute! All the girls ended up signing it with silver sharpie for the bride-to-be to keep forever! Her wedding is on a lake, so with the nautical theme, “tying the knot” was so perfect!
For the tall glass vases, I purchased those at Hobby Lobby in the flower section, I painted the inside with mod podge, dumped in glitter, and rolled it until the glitter coated the glue – so in love with how they turned out! Same deal for the little mason jars!
In the basket, you’ll see wedding advice cards, purchased here, and self-addressed envelopes for thank you notes – seriously a life-saver for the guest of honor!
At everyone’s place setting, they had a cute little nail polish to take home with these ADORABLE polish tags, the advice cards, and two games. The bride requested no boring, over-done, traditional shower games. Challenge accepted.
We played Who Has The Groom (which everyone seriously had SO much fun with) and this fun little lotto game (the winning cards said “I DO!” the losing cards all had funny wedding mishaps on them!)
With [a ton] of work, one of the bridesmaids and I were able to hang a shabby-chic backdrop for photos. I wish I had advice for this, but we probably did it the worst way possible. I made fun little signs (purchased here) with paper straws for photo props:
The Miss to Mrs. banner was purchased here.
My dress is from Parker, this print is sold out, but it’s available here in a different print.
